RYAN BRISTOW

Director - Denton Campuses - ryan@anyfocus.org | blog

Ryan graduated from UNT with a degree in Integrative Studies, concentrating on Sociology and Emergency Management. Those four years in FOCUS at UNT really grew his love for Jesus and for other people, and were a huge factor in why he wanted to go into full-time ministry after graduating. After working for a couple of years with the students at Collin College, he and his wife are now settled in Denton and working hard to raise their son Jude, daughter Joni, and two adorable dogs.

DREW CLEVELAND

Assistant Director - drew.cleveland@anyfocus.org | blog

Born and raised in Austin, Drew came to Dallas to get a degree in Arts and Technology from UTD. He got involved with FOCUS as a freshman and spent years being known as “Darby’s boyfriend,” but is now proud to go by the title of “Darby’s husband.” During his time in college, God really changed Drew’s heart and he caught a vision for what campus ministry can do in people’s lives. He loves to tell people about the power of God’s grace. So now he can be found helping students learn more about Jesus while clinging to the side of a rock climbing wall.

SHAYLA TROTTER

Campus Missionary - shayla@anyfocus.org | blog

By encountering Jesus through FOCUS as a student at UNT, Shayla became a committed disciple of Jesus. She graduated from UNT in 2016 and has been a full time campus missionary ever since. Shayla lives with her very sweet and very strange husband, Grant. She can be found trying to convince Grant that they should get a dog, eating chips (she REALLY likes chips), and teaching students about the 1990’s (and Jesus).

DARBY CLEVELAND

Campus Missionary - darby@anyfocus.org | blog

Darby is a graduate from UT Dallas and has a degree in Arts and Technology–which just means she’s basically a renaissance (wo)man. She is married to Drew and would like everyone to know that she is from San Antonio, not Austin. When she is not drinking coffee, talking about cats or plants, you can find her spending time with people. She joined FOCUS after having it thrust upon her by her mom and has fallen in love with God’s community there ever since.

REAGANN SMITH

Reagann was born and raised in the DFW area and graduated from UNT in 2018 with her bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Towards the end of her freshman year, she got involved in FOCUS and fell in love with campus ministry. Although she had planned to pursue forensic chemistry after graduation, God has consistently tugged her towards investing in and loving college students. It's been an absolute joy to see God transform liveson the campuses. She's so excited to raise her son, Owen, around so many Jesus-loving friends and students.

KEANNA BARBER

Campus Missionary - keanna.barber@anyfocus.org | blog

Keanna grew up in the DFW area. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University with her bachelor’s degree in Health Psychology. Through her unique adoption story she got the blessing of growing up in the family of churches that support FOCUS where she caught a vision for what college could look like. After experiencing FOCUS as a student, she developed a heart for caring to learn people’s stories and share the goodness of Jesus with them! In her free time Keanna likes to be active, try new things, and play board games!

ALEJANDRO CABALLERO

Campus Missionary - alex.caballero@anyfocus.org | blog

Alex grew up in Austin, Texas and got connected with FOCUS when Drew Cleveland reached out to him. Drew had gone to church with Alex in Austin for a few years so they had known each other before but grew close when reconnecting in FOCUS. Alex met a lot of friends that he grew to love and cherish before graduating with a degree in psychology from the University of North Texas. He stuck around to do the apprenticeship with FOCUS and continues to invest in his community today. He loves going to the movies, fishing, learning complicated rules to board games, going on walks, and playing video games.

CASEY HOPPER

Campus Missionary - casey.hopper@anyfocus.org | blog

Casey was born and raised in Plano, Texas and he found FOCUS as a student at UTD. He graduated in 2020 and went to work for Texas Instruments as an engineer in their R&D department for 5 years. 2024 was full of tough moments, and through that year Casey was renewed with the love of God as the Spirit showed him who God truly was. Casey came back from TI with a heart ready for ministry and more clarity than ever. Now he gets to live everyday being called “unc” by college students. Casey loves to pray, and you can stop him anytime to randomly pray about anything. Literally. He also spent some time in Greece helping start a house church and loves to talk about it way too much, so next time you see him feel free to tell him,”we get it, you lived in Greece.”

HANNAH WINKLER

Campus Missionary - hannah.winkler@anyfocus.org | blog

During Hannah's time at Collin College (go Cougs!) and later at Texas Woman's University, God used the people in F.O.C.U.S to show her what real relationships with Jesus and community truly look like. Through her time in college she began to see Jesus as being full of joy and true life and wants to be a part of offering that to students through being a campus minister! Hannah loves joining students in their everyday activities and helping them see God's patient, slow to anger, joyful heart for themselves. She also loves going to the farmer's market or bookstores, talking about being a missionary kid, eating good food, playing board games with roommates, and helping people relive their childhood through crafts or silly activities (where her degree in Child Development comes in handy).

HANNAH EDWARDS

Campus Missionary - hannah.edwards@anyfocus.org | blog

Hannah first got connected to FOCUS during her time at UT Dallas (Go Comets!), where she recently graduated with a degree in psychology, a love for ballet, and a passion for campus ministry. Originally from the small country town of Bandera, Hannah has since embraced city life—helped along by her years as a student leader in FOCUS and her seven minute drive to Trader Joe’s. During college, she discovered the value of spiritual friendship, the rhythm of Sabbath rest, and the importance of openness in community. These experiences were so transformational that she thought every college student should have the opportunity to experience them. This led her to Denton for the FOCUS apprenticeship at UNT! Hannah loves connecting with students through shared interests like playing sports, Taylor Swift, Thai food, daschund puppies, and simply doing life together. She is excited to see all that God has in store for her and the students in Denton!
