FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

SARAH WORSHAM

Director - Arlington Campuses - sarah@anyfocus.org | blog

Sarah’s heart for college students grew after she became a Christian as a student at Collin College. She started out in college at UNT studying theatre, and then left there in search of something different, swearing to never go back. The Lord had other plans in mind, and He won her heart and sent her back to be a part of planting UNT FOCUS two years later. After a few years in Denton, she moved to Arlington to be a part of planting FOCUS at UTA. Sarah can be found mall walking and eating cinnamon pretzels with her husband, Brandon (who is almost as funny as she is), singing show tunes, or laughing at her own jokes.

RHETT HAYES

Assistant Director - rhett@anyfocus.org | blog

Rhett first joined FOCUS as a seventeen-year-old freshman with bad hair at the University of Texas at Dallas. There, he learned what it means to follow Jesus and disciple others. After realizing the heart God had given him for ministry, he decided to pursue a life in college ministry. After apprenticing with FOCUS in Denton in 2017, he came back to his alma mater, and has been pastoring students there and growing closer to God ever since. Because he missed the feeling of having to write research papers, he's now pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary while pastoring on campus.

AUSTIN GAGE

Campus Missionary - austin@anyfocus.org | blog

Austin graduated from the University of North Texas in 2014. He loves movies, disc golf, and reading all sorts of books. But his greatest passion is to make disciples of Jesus. Austin seeks to share the love of God with every person that he interacts with and he couldn't be more excited about his opportunity to do this on the college campus.

EMILY SPENCER

Campus Missionary - emily.mcdonald@anyfocus.org | blog

Emily loves to laugh, loves her dog and loves snacks. That’s what you need to know. She came to know Christ her junior year of high school through a simple invitation to come to church. There she was introduced to her Creator who deeply loved her, died for her and who was now inviting her to join His mission. In 2018, Emily graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in sociology. She has been a FOCUS pastor since then. She serves alongside her mustachioed husband who is an absolute ham.

BAILEY CRAWFORD

Campus Missionary - bailey.crawford@anyfocus.org | blog

Bailey grew up in many places before finally settling in Plano. She received her Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Collin College (go Cougs), and later transferred to Texas Woman’s University to study Child Development. Bailey showed up to Collin searching for friendship, and FOCUS was there and ready to provide. Now she joins our team at UT Arlington with the hopes offering that same meaningful friendship to others. When she isn’t meeting with students, she is on the hunt for the perfect iced coffee, reading different memoirs, or trying and rating Crumbl Cookie flavors with her roommates.

GRAHAM SPENCER

Campus Missionary - graham.spencer@anyfocus.org | blog

Graham first got involved with FOCUS in 2016 at Collin College. He caught a vision for what God was doing on campus and has planned on doing the FOCUS Apprenticeship since 2017. While studying Print Making at the UNT, he grew a deeper understanding of art, his fellow art students, and his role in the kingdom. He loves meeting new people, asking deep and weird questions to understand them better, and living life alongside them. He also loves rock climbing, his hilarious wife, Emily, and creating out-there conceptual art pieces. He once learned how to make, walk on, and teach 20 other friends how to use stilts for a self proclaimed holiday called, “Community Stilt Day”. It was a good day.

SOPHIE WILLIS

Campus Missionary - sophie.willis@anyfocus.org | blog

Sophie first joined FOCUS as a freshman at UTA after seeing some signs around campus. She grew up in church, surrounded by people who loved her and God profoundly. However, it wasn’t until her time at UTA that she encountered God personally. Here, she learned to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and developed a big heart for college students. Sophie graduated with her B.S. in Biology, intending to attend veterinary school. However, God called her in a different direction! Aside from campus ministry, Sophie loves doing pottery, being outside, and laughing with anyone about anything.
